Port Perry Real Estate
Back in the 18th Century, Scugog was part of Cartwright, Reach and Port Perry, but a flood changed all of that. During the process of creating Lake Scugog with the use of the dam in Lindsay, a flood was a result of the efforts and thus created an island which was swiftly named Scugog Island. The separation lent to Scugog becoming its own township. Port Perry is the core hub of the municipality, with the communities of Scugog, Scugog Point, Scugog Centre, Aldreds Beach, Williams Point, Blackstock, Victoria Corners, Cadmus, Utica, Caesarea, Sunrise Beach, Carnegie Beach, Strattonville, Cedar Shores, Shirley, Epsom, Seagrave, Fralicks Beach, Saintfield, Gerrows Beach, Purple Hill, Greenbank, Prospect, Highland Beach, Prince Albert, Port View Beach, Honey Beach, Pine Point, Lakeside Beach, Nestleton Station, Manchester, Nestleton and Marsh Hill within the municipality. The Township of Scugog is northeast of the city of Toronto and is within the Durham Region and north of Oshawa.
