If a quicker pace is desired, then the Great Blue Heron Casino (east of Port Perry on Scugog Island) will be the spot to go. Beaches around Scugog and Scugog island are very enjoyable in the good weather months and some are a bit more out of the way for those seeking a bit more seclusion. Trails around Scugog are varied for use, some are for cycling and jogging and some are just quaint enough to just take a quiet walk along to really get in some time with nature and obtain some additional physical fitness at the same time.
